Other Policies

CANCELLATION POLICY

30 to 0 days prior to arrival: 100% cancellation fee of the total booking cost. No-shows: 100% of the total booking cost. Early departures: The full amount of the original booking will be charged.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

We strongly recommend taking out travel insurance to protect against unexpected changes to your plans, such as canceled flights, road closures, or illness. Most comprehensive policies will cover cancellation fees. Unfortunately, Qambathi cannot offer refunds or postpone bookings if guests are unable to reach the lodge due to these circumstances.

DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS

Deposit: 50% non-refundable deposit required to confirm your booking. Final Payment: Balance due 1 month prior to arrival.

Refunds & Postponements: At the owners’ discretion and subject to re-letting of rooms. All approved refunds/postponements incur a R800 banking and admin fee.

IMPORTANT TRAVEL INFORMATION

The Kamberg Road from Rosetta is currently under repair and has large potholes, but remains the preferred route. The Lonteni route has been damaged by rain and is not recommended for low-clearance vehicles. The final 2 km stretch is gravel; high-clearance vehicles are ideal, but most standard vehicles can manage (avoid sports cars or very low vehicles).

Age Policy: Adults only (16+). No age restrictions for exclusive-use bookings and for the Homestead.

Alcohol Policy: No outside alcohol permitted. Corkage: R100 per bottle (1 bottle per room per stay). No Alcohol Policy for the Homestead.

Indemnity: Guests stay at their own risk. Qambathi Mountain Lodge is not responsible for injury, loss, or damage to property. .
